PV Narasimha Rao’s Daughter Praises PM Modi for Bipartisan Spirit While Conferring Bharat Ratna

Daughter of former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao and MLC of the BRS party Vani Devi commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his bipartisan approach in awarding the Bharat Ratna to her late father.

She expressed gratitude for the recognition, acknowledging that although it arrived later than expected, it remains a significant honour. Devi emphasized that Narasimha Rao’s legacy transcends party lines and belongs to the entire nation.

Furthermore, Devi praised the government led by former chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for organizing extensive celebrations marking Narasimha Rao’s birth centenary. She highlighted Narasimha Rao’s historic significance as the first prime minister from southern India.

Devi, along with other BRS MLCs and MLAs, paid respects to Narasimha Rao by offering floral tributes to his portrait in the legislative buildings.
