1 Killed & Another Critical in Lightning Strike in Kalahandi Dist

Kalahandi: One person was killed and another was critically injured in a lightning strike at Ambaguda village under Koksara police limits in Dharmagarh block of Odisha’s Kalahandi district.

The deceased was identified as Pradip Dharua, while the injured was identified as Jugeswar Majhi.

According to reports, Pradip and Jugeswar were working in the field when lightning struck them. Reportedly, Pradip died on the spot, while villagers rescued Jugeswar and rushed him to the Sub Divisional Hospital.

On being informed, police reached the spot, seized the body, and sent it for autopsy.
