IPL Betting Racket Busted in Rourkela; 6 Arrested

Sundargarh: Police have busted IPL betting racket in Rourkela of Odisha’s Sundargarh district. The cops have also arrested six persons for their alleged involvement in online betting during IPL matches.

The arrested were identified as Rabi Singh, Sekhar Wadhwani, Anurag Deharia, Dinesh Prithwani, Shankar Gangwani, and Dheeraj Adhwani.

According to reports, all the accused came to Rourkela from outside Odisha and they were running the online betting racket from a rented room in the civil township area of Steel City.

The cops also seized three laptops, 20 mobile phones, and four ATM cards from the accused.

Further investigation is underway.
