15-Yr-Old Delivers baby at Home Watching YouTube; Strangles Newborn to Death

Nagpur: A 15-year-old teenage girl delivered a girl at her home in Nagpur of Maharashtra by taking instructions from YouTube videos. This alleged victim of sexual exploitation killed her newborn, police sources said on Sunday.

This girl was sexually exploited by a man with whom she got acquainted with on social media. She managed to hide her baby bump from her family by claiming she was having some health issues.

To hide her childbirth this girl of Ambazari area of Nagpur collected information about home delivery from YouTube videos. On March 2, she gave birth to a girl at her home and she immediately strangled the newborn to death, police sources said.

She hid the body of the baby in a box in her home. But she had to narrate the whole incident to her mother and the girl was admitted to a hospital. Police seized the body of the newborn for postmortem.

A case was registered under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
