2 Arrested in Delhi University Student Murder Case

New Delhi: Two men were arrested in connection with the murder of a first-year student of Delhi University outside Aryabhatta College in South Campus.

The arrested accused were Rahul (19), a resident of Delhi’s Bindapur area, and Haroon (19), a resident of Janakpuri.

Rahul is a first-year college student. His friend Haroon works at a T-shirt factory in the Nilothi area.

The deceased, Nikhil Chauhan (19), was a student of BA (Hons) in Political Science from the School of Open Learning.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the root cause of this murder was eve teasing of Chauhan’s girlfriend around a week ago. Chauhan had objected to the harassment of his girlfriend.

As an act of revenge, the accused Rahul and three of his friends allegedly stabbed Chauhan to death outside Aryabhatta College.
