3 Including 1 From Myanmar Killed as Sand Mound Collapses in Mizoram

Aizwal: Three persons including a citizen of Myanmar died and another was injured when a sand mound collapsed on them in in Mizoram’s Champhai district.

The mishap happened near Melbuk village when a portion of the sand mound collapsed while the labourers were digging sand from it. The victims were aged between 16 and 20. They were engaged in sand digging operation in the Tiau river for commercial purposes.

The two victims from Mizoram, died on the spot. The Myanmar national succumbed to his injuries on the way to a hospital.
