33 Terrorists Killed in Pakistan; Seized Police Station and Hostages Freed

Thirty-three terrorists, who had seized a police station in Bannu in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, were reported to be gunned down in a major clearance operation by Pakistan Forces on Tuesday. According to Pak Defence Minister, two personnel of the Special Forces involved in the anti-terrorist operation troops also died. As per reports, all hostages were freed. During this operation around 15 personnel of the Pak SSG (Special Forces) including an officer were wounded while two were killed.

Armed terrorists seized a police station in Bannu city in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province and took hostages.
As per reports, a group of terrorists who had been apprehended earlier resorted to this violent incident on Sunday evening while they were being interrogated at the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) police station.
They snatched an AK-47 from the police and opened fire, the report said. Two guards were immediately killed on the spot.
All the suspects kept in the building were freed and the group took over the police station building. Several policemen became hostages of these armed terrorists.
