8 killed, Four injured in road accident in Bihar; Prez, PM & CM expresses condolences
Bihar: Eight people including six children were killed after a speeding truck rammed into a crowd near Mahnar in the Vaishali district of Bihar last night, November 20. Four people are critically injured and they are undergoing treatment in Sadar hospital.
The incident occurred near the Naya Gao tola area on Hajipur – Mahnar road under the Desari police station.
According to the eye witness, the accident occurred when people were assembled to witness the Puja procession of Bhuaiyan baba last night, November 20.
President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed condolences to the bereaved families who lost their loved ones in the accident. PM Modi also wished a speedy recovery for the people who were injured in the accident.

The accident in Vaishali, Bihar is saddening. Condolences to the bereaved families. May the injured recover soon. An ex-gratia of Rs. 2 lakh from PMNRF would be given to the next of kin of each deceased. The injured would be given Rs. 50,000: PM @narendramodi

He announced ex-gratia of Rs two lakh to the next of kin of each deceased from the Prime Minister National Relief Fund. Meanwhile, Rs 50,000 will be given to the people injured in the accident. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar also expressed grief over the tragic incident.
