9-Yr-Old Girl Raped by Minor Boy In Delhi; Accused Detained by Police

New Delhi: A nine-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a minor boy in east Delhi. The incident took place on Saturday. The accused juvenile has been detained. The parents of the victim lodged a complaint regarding the sexual assault with police late on Saturday.

According to police sources, the accused called up the girl playing in the street to a vacant house near a park close to his residence, where he allegedly raped her.

The victim narrated the incident to her parents after returning home. She was taken to a hospital, where a medical examination confirmed the sexual assault.

A case under Section 376 (rape) of the Indian Penal Code and relevant provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act was registered and the erring juvenile accused was nabbed. The victim was counselled by a childcare counsellor.
