A Pakistani Gang that Loots Cooking Oil in Police Van, 3 Arrested in Karachi

Three members of a gang involved in looting cooking oil in a police van were arrested in Pakistan’s Karachi on Thursday.

The arrested persons included the owner of a godown, a worker, and a policeman. According to ARY News report, these armed men used to loot cooking oil from goods trucks in District Central.

During June several incidents of robbery of cooking oil from goods trucks were reported from the vicinity of Karachi.

The robbers were hiding the looted cooking oil in the godown. The Clifton division police of Karachi caught two individuals earlier this month in a successful tip-off operation that followed a string of home invasions in the Defence and Clifton region.

The suspects, Ashraf alias Achho and Asif, were managing a gang of thieves that committed many robberies in Karachi’s posh area.

The three robbers from the Achho’s gang arrested recently were on the most wanted list of the police, according to ARY News.

The police found a significant amount of jewellery and other expensive things during the operation, totalling millions of dollars.
