AAP Leader Satyendra Jain’s Bail Plea Rejected by Delhi High Court

New Delhi: The Delhi High Court on Thursday dismissed the bail plea of jailed former Delhi minister Satyendar Jain in a money-laundering case being investigated by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).

The High Court remarked that Satyendra Jain is an influential person and may tamper with evidence.

Jain was arrested on May 30, 2022 by the ED. He is accused of having laundered money through four companies linked to him.

Justice Dinesh Kumar Sharma also rejected the bail pleas of two co-accused in the same case; Vaibhav Jain and Ankush Jain. The high court found no illegally or infirmity in the trial court’s order that had dismissed their bail pleas.

The three accused had challenged the trial court’s order regarding their bail plea on November 17, 2022.

The Delhi High Court after hearing arguments of the counsels for the ED and the AAP leader and two others had reserved the order on the bail pleas on March 21.
