Lok Sabha’s Budget Sessions Ends; Adjourned Sine Die

New Delhi: Lok Sabha’s Budget session ended as per schedule on Thursday. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla announced that the House had been adjourned sine die.

The house witnessed unruly scenes even on the last day. As soon as the House met for the day, opposition MPs reached the well, shouting slogans demanding a JPC probe into the Adani issue. They carried placards with their demands written on them.

The speaker said the behaviour of opposition members had lowered the dignity of the House and they had “systematically” disrupted the proceedings. According to him, such behavior is against the parliamentary system and not good for the House or the country. But opposition members ignored the Speaker’s pleas. They continued with their protest demonstration within the house.

At last Om Birla announced the adjournment of the House sine die after his customary valedictory speech.
