Afghanistan Shakes by an Earthquake of 4.3 Magnitude

Afghanistan was hit by an earthquake of 4.3 magnitude on Monday morning. Tremors of this quake were experienced 135 km south-southeast of Fayzabad in Afghanistan at 6.47 am on Monday. , “Earthquake of Magnitude:4.3, Occurred on 13-02-2023, 06:47:53 IST, Lat: 36.51 & Long: 71.40, Depth: 135 Km, Location: 100km SE of Fayzabad, Afghanistan,” the National Center for Seismology (NCS) tweeted on Monday.

This is the second earthquake in Afghanistan within a short span.

According to the NCS, on January 22, an earthquake of magnitude 4.2 occurred 79 km south-southeast of Fayzabad, Afghanistan at 9:04 am IST on Sunday.

An earthquake measuring 4.3 magnitudes on the Richter scale struck Sikkim on Monday morning.

According to the NSC, the earthquake occurred northwest of Yuksom in Sikkim around 4.15 am.
