Aged Man murdered for Calling Neighbours’ Dog, a ‘Dog’

Chennai: Calling neighbours’ dog as dog proved fatal for a 65-year-old farmer named Rayappan in Thadicombu town of Tamil Nadu’s Dindigul district.

He was allegedly murdered during a fight that reportedly occurred when he called his neighbor’s dog, a ‘dog’. Rayappan always alleged that the dogs of his neighbours Daniel and Vincent irritated him. He complained that these pet dogs attacked the people passing by.

According to police sources, Daniel and Vincent were relatives of Rayappan. The quarrel between them aggravated when Rayappan refused to call the dogs by their names.

On Thursday, the situation took a violent turn. During a heated argument, Rayappan tried to attack the dogs with a stick. In a rage, Daniel and Vincent also attacked Rayappan, who because of his age and weak physical condition fell unconscious and died.

The Thadikombu Police have registered a case and are searching for the accused, who escaped after the incident.
