Astonishing! 30.5 Kg Goldfish Caught in France

British fisherman Andy Hackett (42) could not believe himself when caught an unbelievably large goldfish while fishing in France. According to The New York Post, this huge goldfish weighed around 30.5 Kg. This goldfish is all set to create a new world record. It is heavier than the earlier recorded heaviest goldfish that was caught in America’s Minnesota in 2019.

Hackett caught this large goldfish while fishing at Bluewater Lakes in Champagne, France. As per fishery experts, this large goldfish is a hybrid of leather carp and koi carp fish species. These two carp species are also orange in colour.

This record-breaking goldfish was named ‘carrot’. It is reported to be around 20 years old. After posing for photographs along with the huge goldfish, Hackett had to relase it in the waters of the lake safely.
