Winter Chill to Increase in Odisha from November 23

Bhubaneswar: Night temperature will drop from November 23. A depression in the Bay of Bengal had set the mercury rising in several parts of the state during the last few days.

Yesterday, the night temperature was 11.5 degrees Celsius in Similiguda of Koraput district. G Udaygiri of Kandhamal district recorded 14.6 degrees Celsius temperature.

The night temperature in Daringbadi was 13.5 degrees and Cuttack recorded 19.0 degrees. In addition, the temperature in the capital was also less chilly at 19.7 degrees.

Bhawanipatna of Kalahandi district recorded 17.6 degrees Celsius night temperature.

Likewise, Sundargarh district recorded 13.5 degrees Celsius, followed by Chiplima of Sambalpur at 16.6 degree Celsius, and Jharsuguda at 14.2 degrees Celsius. Keonjhar and Deogarh recorded 17 degrees Celsius and 17.2 degree Celsius respectively.

According to Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre, there will be no change in temperature for the next 2 days. But after 2 days, the temperature may fall by 3 to 4 degrees in most parts of the state
