Balasore Train Tragedy: Injured Passenger Undergoing Treatment At SCB Dies

Cuttack: The death toll rose to 289 in the triple train tragedy at Bahanaga in Odisha’s Balasore district with the death of an injured passenger undergoing treatment at Cuttack’s SCB Medical College and Hospital since June 3 succumbing to a sudden cardiac arrest on Tuesday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Bijay Paswan (35), a resident of Bihar’s Motihari district.

According to reports, Bijay was admitted to the SCB Hospital in critical condition after the train mishap near Bahanaga Railway Station in Balasore district on June 2.

With the death of the victim, the toll in the Odisha train accident reached 289. However, no official confirmation has been made yet about the rise in death numbers.
