Bengali Migrant Labourer Wins Rs 75 Lakh Lottery in Kerala; Runs to Police for Protection

Thiruvananthapuram: A migrant labourer from West Bengal working in Kerala had a life-changing surprise when he won a lottery of Rs 75 lakh. After confirming the news, he immediately rushed to the nearest police station for protection.

The lottery prize winner migrant labourer was SK Badesh. He was working as a labourer in road construction work in Kerala.

He won Kerala government’s Stree Shakti Lottery of Rs 75 lakh. This news also panicked him as he feared that someone may try to attack him to take away the prize-winning lottery ticket.

He ran to the Muvattupuzha police station at late night on Tuesday, seeking protection for his prize money. Personnel of the Muvattupuzha police station made him understand the formalities and promised all security.

SK Badesh was regularly buying lottery tickets to try his luck. He had never before won any prize.

He has decided to return back to his home in West Bengal once he collects the lottery prize money in Kerala. He has decided to renovate his home and expand agriculture with the money he won in the lottery in Kerala.
