Bobi, the Oldest Ever Dog, to Celebrate 31st Birthday in Portugal

Bobi, a farm dog in Portugal entered the Guinness World Records (GWR) as the oldest living dog ever by. Bobi turned 31 on Thursday. It was born on May 11, 1992. The canine pet lives in Leira district of Portugal with its owner Leonel Costa. Bobi is in good health.

Bobi’s birth date has been confirmed by the Veterinary Medical Service of the Municipality of Leiria.

The owner of Bobi was quoted by GWR that 100 fans and friends have been invited to the birthday bash of the longest-living dog on Saturday. Some fans from countries other than Portugal will also attend the function. Several members of Leonel Costa’s family like his father, brother, and grandparents, who had seen Bobi grow have already left this world. Costa told Guinness. “Bobi represents those generations.”

Bobi was awarded the Guinness World Record title in February. Since then several journalists and people come from all over the world have come over to Portugal to see and know more about Bobi.
