Bomb Planted For Poaching Explodes In Cow’s Mouth In Dhenkanal

Dhenkanal: In an unfortunate incident, a crude bomb that was planted for poaching exploded inside the mouth cavity of a cow at Katumunda forest area under Mahavir Road Forest Range in Dhenkanal district on Sunday.

According to reports, cattle had gone inside the forest to graze and a cow gulped a crude bomb planted to trap wild boars which one of the cows swallowed. The bomb exploded inside the cow’s mouth injuring the animal critically.

On being informed, a forest guard of Ghagaramunda Forest Beat, Prabhanjan Behera, reached the spot and informed the veterinarian about the incident. The cow is under treatment for the injury inside its mouth cavity.
