Breasts, Genitals and faces of Female Protestors shot at by Morality Police in Iran

Female activists involved in anti-hijab protests in Iran are often being shot in their breasts, genitals, and faces. After interviewing several doctors and nurses who treated injured anti-hijab protestors in Iran, the Guardian newspaper has come up with this report.

It is alleged that Iran officials on duty to stop the protests are targeting specific body parts of women. A doctor from Isfahan province alleged that the authorities “wanted to destroy the beauty of these women”.

Iranian forces are reported to be firing birdshot pellets made of plastic or metal at demonstrators at close range. It is alleged that while firing these pellets they intentionally aim at the private parts and faces of women.

A doctor from Isfahan told the Guardian that she had treated a woman who had a dozen pellets lodged in her crotch area. Two of them were stuck between her urethra and vaginal opening.

There are reports of several women protestors blinded by pellets fired at them.

Anti-hijab protests are continuing in Iran since September 16, when Mahsa Amini died in the custody of Iran’s Morality Police. Till now at least 475 people have died and over 18,000 have been detained by Iranian security forces trying to crush down the movement.
