Budget will Meet the Hopes & Aspirations of Common Citizens: PM Modi

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said the whole world has its eye on India’s Budget amid global uncertainty. “In today’s global circumstances, not only India but the entire world is looking at India’s budget,” PM Modi said.

He has given many other statements ahead of the release of the Budget for the financial year 2023-24. Here are some of them:

  • PM Modi said, “Amid the unstable global economic situation, India’s budget will attempt to meet the hopes and aspirations of the common citizens. I firmly believe that Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will make all efforts to meet those aspirations.”
  • “Taking the thought of ‘India first, citizens first’ we will take this Budget session of Parliament forward. I am hopeful that the opposition leaders will present their views before the Parliament,” PM Modi said at the Parliament.
  • It is a matter of pride for the entire country that President Murmu will give her first address to a joint sitting of Parliament in session, said PM Modi.
  • PM Modi also lauded India’s growth projection in the International Monetary Fund’s latest update to its World Economic Outlook.
