Car in Imran Khan’s Convoy Meets Accident on Way to Islamabad Court

A car in the convoy of former Pakistan PM Imran Khan met with an accident on Saturday. Imran Khan is on his way to Islamabad to appear in court in relation to the Toshkhana corruption case. According to Pakistan media, Imran Khan was not hurt in this accident. His car was also safe.

Imran Khan, the 70-year-old head of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party, is to appear before the court of Additional District and Sessions Judge (ADSJ) Zafar Iqbal in Islamabad. He will attend proceedings on the complaint filed by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) against him. The ECP has alleged that the former Pak PM concealed details of gifts in his assets declarations.

On Saturday, the PTI started for Islamabad from his residence in Zaman Park, Lahore. He is accompanied by a convoy of his party workers, reported Dawn newspaper.

Strict security arrangements have been put in place outside the judicial complex in Islamabad’s G-11, where Imran Khan is expected to arrive.
