Coup in KCR’s BRS, Over a Dozen Former Ministers, MLAs Jump Over to Congress

Hyderabad: Over a dozen key leaders of K Chandrashekar Rao-led Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) including former MLAs, ministers and office bearers of the party joined the Congress on Monday.

This major political development in Telangana is a jolt for the BRS as the assembly elections are to be held this year.

The BRS leaders joined the Congress in the presence of Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and senior leader Rahul Gandhi. The BRS leaders who joined the Congress included former MP Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, former minister Jupally Krishna Rao, ex-MLAs Panyam Venkateswarlu, Koram Kanakaiah, and Kota Ram Babu. Rakesh Reddy, son of BRS MLC Narsa Reddy.
