Court Rejects TN Minister’s Plea to Reject His 15-Day ED Remand

Chennai: A Principal Sessions Court rejected Tamil Nadu Minister V Senthil Balaji’s plea seeking to reject his 15 days remand by ED in a money laundering case.

A sessions court has sent Senthil Balaji to judicial custody till June 28 in this money laundering case.

He was arrested by the ED in a money laundering case on Wednesday morning.

As he complained of chest pain during interrogation, he was admitted to a hospital. Senthil Balaji broke down while being taken into custody by the ED officials.

The arrested Tamil Nadu minister underwent a coronary angiogram on Wednesday at the Omandurar government hospital in Chennai.

Opposition leaders have criticized the ED’s highhandedness for questioning Senthil Balaji for long hours and then taking him into custody.
