COVID Inoculation to Restart in Odisha from Today

Bhubaneswar: Vaccination against COVID-19 will again be resumed in hospitals of all districts in Odisha from Thursday. One lakh doses of the Covishield vaccine have reached Odisha under the National COVID-19 for this mass vaccination programme.

According to the Odisha Health & Family Welfare Department, this COVID-19 vaccination drive is only for those persons who have not received their second dose of the vaccine or the precautionary dose. It will be only for the Covishield vaccine.

This vaccination drive of the Odisha government will be taken up in specified Primary Health Centres (PHCs), Community Health Centres (CHCs) and District Headquarters Hospitals (DHHs) in the state.

Odisha State Health department has urged citizens not to miss this chance of getting vaccinated in case they have not taken the second dose as threat of COVID-19 has not vanished. In several countries of the world like China, it is causing thousands of deaths.
