Donation Box at Puri Jagannath Temple Looted

Puri: Unidentified miscreants looted a donation box located at the southern gate of Shree Jagannath temple in Puri on Thursday night.

This loot was discovered on Friday morning when some servitors found the empty donation box and handed it over to Shree Jagannath Temple Police (JTP).

The miscreants had broken open the donation box and escaped with the money and valuables. The empty donation box was thrown near the Nrusingha temple on the premises of the 12^th century shrine.

Coming to know about the incident, the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) and local police have initiated an investigation. The CCTV footage is being scanned for clues related to the culprits involved in this donation box loot.
