E-Mail About Terrorist Threat at Tirupati Temple Found to be Hoax

Tirupati: Security was heightened in and around the Tirupati temple in Andhra Pradesh following receipt of an email about terrorist movement inside the temple. This news created panic among devotees gathered up at the hill shrine.

But a detailed investigation by police revealed that it was a prank by some mischievous elements. Local police confirmed to have received an email claiming that a terrorist was hiding inside the Tirumala Temple.

The email had come from an unidentified person.

Immediately police issued an alert, cordoned off the area, and started inspection.  It was a sigh of relief when it was finally revealed that it was a fake email. An investigation is on to track down the persons behind this fake e-mail.
