Elderly Couple Killed in Road Accident in Kandhamal Dist

Phulbani: An elderly couple lost their lives when the car in which they were travelling crashed to a roadside tree in Odisha’s Kandhamal district on Tuesday evening.

This accident occurred in the Raikia area while the couple was returning home from Berhampur after making their daughter board a train at the Berhampur railway station.

The seriously injured couple was provided initial treatment at a local hospital in Raikia. They were later shifted to the Kandhamal District Headquarters Hospital in Phulbani, where they passed away during treatment.

The deceased were identified as Subash Singh, a retired administrative officer, and his wife Nalini Nayak, a school teacher.
