Female Law Professor of NLUO Found Dead in Cuttack

Cuttack: Ananya Chakraborty, 42, a woman professor at the National Law University Odisha (NLUO), Cuttack, was found dead in her rented house in Cuttack.

The body of the deceased law professor hailing from West Bengal was recovered by the police and was sent for post-mortem.

Ananya was alone in her rented house when her friends called her on Sunday and received no response. Her friends rushed to her house and informed the police when they found the door locked from inside. The police broke into the house and found her lying on her bed. There was proof of any foul play.

Ananya Chakraborty was staying alone as she had separated from her husband. According to the family members, she had a history of cardiac problems and it is suspected that she died of a cardiac arrest.

The cause of death will be confirmed after autopsy, police sources said. Ananya’s father and other family members have reached Cuttack.
