Heat Wave Warning For 7 Districts Of Odisha; Bhubaneswar Sizzles At 32°C By 8.30 Am

Bhubaneswar: The regional office of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heat wave warning for seven districts in Odisha.

As per IMD, seven districts in the state – Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Sonepur, and Boudh districts on Wednesday.

As the heat wave continues to singe Odisha, Bhubaneswar on Wednesday the mercury level stood at 32°C as early as 8.30 am.

Meanwhile,  the State government that all schools including Govt, Aided, Private, and Anganwadi Centre for Class-I up to Class-12 will remain closed on April 19 and April 20 as the heat wave intensifies in Odisha.

Taking to its Twitter handle, the state I&PR department wrote, “Important Announcement: All schools up to Class 12 (Govt, Aided, and Private) and all Anganwadi Centre will remain closed on 19th and 20th April in view of the prevailing heatwave conditions in the State.”
