“Hello MLA”: Cricketer Ravindra Jadeja’s Jubilation for His Wife’s Win in Gujarat Elections

Jamnagar (Gujarat): Star Cricketer Ravindra Jadeja has congratulated his wife Rivaba for winning the Gujarat Assembly election. In a tweet, Ravindra Jadeja said, “Hello MLA you truly deserve it.”

“Hello MLA, you really deserve it. The people of Jamnagar have won. I express my gratitude to all the people from the bottom of my heart… the works of Jamnagar will be very good,” the cricketer said, translated from the tweet he posted in Gujarati.

The Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) candidate Rivaba from the Jamnagar North constituency won with over 57 per cent vote share. She defeated her nearest rival, Karshanbhai of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) by a margin of more than 53,000 votes.

Jadeja supported his wife and campaigned extensively. He also met Prime Minister Narendra Modi who visited Gujarat ahead of the first phase of the Assembly elections.
