Hit by Tower Wagon 4 Railway Trackmen Die in Nashik

Nashik: Four railway trackmen were killed in an accident near Lasalgaon station in Maharashtra’s Nashik district on Monday. They were hit by a tower wagon involved in railway track maintenance.

According to railway sources, the accident happened at around 5.45 AM on Monday morning. The four ill-fated trackmen were doing maintenance work on the railway track near Lasalgaon station. All of a sudden a tower wagon ran over them.

It is suspected that due to fog they could not see the approaching tower wagon. Tower wagons are used for maintenance and repairs of overhead electric wires.

All of them were seriously wounded and later succumbed to their injuries.

Receiving information about accident, senior railway officials including the local DRM reached the spot. An official probe has been ordered to ascertain the reason behind this accident.
