Holy Idols Carried On Trolley In Objectionable Manner, Video Goes Viral

Puri: A video, in which Lord Jagannath and his siblings were seen being carried on a trolly in an objectionable manner in Puri went viral. Devotees have expressed strong displeasure and resentment regarding this incident.

In the video clip, a man was seen pulling a rickshaw trolley loaded with the idols of Sri Jagannath, Sri Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra. The idols were tied to each other like thrown away luggage.

According to reports, the idols were carried along Singhadwar to Dolabedi Kona in the town.

Some passersby were also seen to be objecting to the act without any avail.

A few months ago, a pick-up van loaded with tent-house materials was seen carrying the idol of Lord Jagannath in a similar manner.

After this, the owner and workers of the tent house which was transporting the idol apologised for the incident.
