‘Home Voting’ Facility for Elderly & Divyang to Begin in Tripura Ahead Elections

Agartala (Tripura): In Tripura, voting facilities for elderly voters and Divyang voters at their homes were started on Wednesday.

Chief Electoral Officer Kiran Gitte said that 8000 eligible voters have opted for this voting facility across the state and to be continued for three days.

Mr Gitte urged voters to maintain the secrecy of their voting rights. Meanwhile, all the political parties and candidates are trying to attract voters through rallies and road shows. All the senior leaders of the contesting parties are holding rallies across the state.

Tripura is witnessing a high-profile campaign for the assembly polls. The star campaigners scheduled to visit Tripura on Tuesday to campaign for their respective parties include the Union Defence minister and BJP leader Rajnath Singh, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee will do a roadshow at Agartala. Voting will be held in Tripura on February 16 to seal the fate of 259 candidates.
