I was Unaware of My Daughter’s Relationship: Delhi Murder Case Victim’s Father

New Delhi: Father of Nikki Yadav, who was allegedly killed by her live-in partner Sahil Gehlot said that he was not aware of her daughter’s relationship with the accused. He got to know about her murder when the Delhi Police contacted him.

The victim was reportedly planning a trip to Goa on 10 February but cancelled it after knowing that Sahil was getting married to someone else.

According to a report of India Today, the deceased, identified as Nikki Yadav, was strangulated to death near Kashmiri Gate ISBT.  The accused allegedly used the data cable of his mobile in his car to strangulate her.

Police said that the duo was in a relationship. The accused allegedly killed the woman after she rejected his marriage proposal.

Later, he chopped her body parts and hid the body parts in the fridge of his dhaba located on the outskirts of Mitraon village.

He was arrested on Tuesday after the police found the woman’s body parts inside the fridge at the dhaba. The police are interrogating the accused for further legal action.

The case closely resembles the Shraddha Walkar murder case, where a 27-year-old woman was strangulated by her live-in partner Aaftab Amin Poonawala.
