Pakistan to Increase Petrol, Diesel Price by Rs 32 per Litre

Pakistan government is likely to increase the price of petrol and diesel by Rs 32 per litre from February 16, reported Pakistan media.

Official and industrial sources quoted in Pak media reports indicate that petrol prices would likely go up by 12.8 per cent or Rs 32.07 taking the effective price to nearly Rs 282 per litre. Similarly, diesel prices may see 12.5 per cent hike to reach Rs 295.64 in Pakistan. The price of Kerosene oil is expected to increase 14.8 per cent to be sold at Rs 217.88 per litre.

Due to the sharp fall in the value of Pakistan’s currency and the rising price of oil imports, the Pakistan government had earlier increased the price of petrol and diesel by Rs 35 per litre for a period from February 1 to February 15.

According to reports, the citizens of Pakistan are now suffering an extreme rise in prices of essential commodities. Milk is being sold in Pakistan for Rs 210 per litre, while a kg of chicken costs Rs 700-800.
