IMD Forecasts Thunderstorm in 9 Odisha Districts; Warns for Lightning

Bhubaneswar: India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday issued thunderstorm warning for nine districts in Odisha.

According to the IMD forecast, “Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Boudh, Kandhamal, Balasore, Jajpur and Bhadrak”.

One or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Boudh, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Nayagarh, Khurda, Puri may have light to moderate rain or thundershower. All other districts in Odisha will have dry weather.

There will be no large change in maximum day temperature in Odisha during the next 4-5 days.
