Respite from Heat, Thunderstorm Forecast for Several Odisha Districts

Bhubaneswar: As per the IMD, several districts in Odisha are expected to experience thunderstorm and lightning on Monday.

According to the Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre, thunderstorm with lightning accompanied with gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Deogarh, Sonepur, Sambalpur, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, and Angul.

It has also been forecast that there will be some respite from the scorching heat as the maximum temperature (day temperature) is very likely to fall by 2-3°C during next 24 hours and rise by 2-3°C in subsequent three days thereafter at many places over the districts of Odisha.
