IMD Predicts Rain to Continue in Several Dists for 5 More Days

Bhubaneswar: Several districts of Odisha are likely to experience rain for another five days, predicts IMD.

The regional centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday issued a yellow warning for thunderstorms and lightning for one or two places in Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam Kandhamal, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj districts in the next 24 hours.

Light to moderate rain or thundershower is also likely to occur at a few places in Nabarangpur, Malkangiri, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Balasore, Bhadrak and Mayurbhanj districts.

In the last 24 hours, the major amount of rainfall recorded in cm are Gopalpur (5 cm), Marsaghai (5 cm), Banpur (4 cm), Dharmagarh (4 cm), R.Udaigiri (4 cm), Mahendragarh (4 cm), Mohakalapada (3 cm), Krishnaprasad (3  cm), Gaisilet (3  cm), Komna (3 cm), Rangeilunda (3 cm), Nuagada (3 cm), Berhampur (3 cm) and Khordha Pto (3 cm).

Bolangir, Cuttack and Kendrapada districts experienced hailstorm activity.

The highest maximum temperature of 34.6°C was recorded at Bhubaneswar and the lowest minimum temperature of 15.4°C was recorded at Nuapada.
