India Halts Trade Talks with UK over Khalistani Activities: Report

New Delhi: Accusing Britain of failing to condemn the Sikh extremist group that attacked the Indian High Commission in London last month India has “disengaged” from trade talks with Britain, reported The Times, citing British government sources.

Protestors with ‘Khalistan’ banners demonstrated at the Indian High Commission in London on March 19. The Khalistani demonstrators took down an Indian national flag from the building’s first-floor balcony. “Indians don’t want to talk about trade until they get a very public demonstration of condemnation of Khalistan extremism in the UK,” a Whitehall source told The Times.
