Inebriated Father Kills His 2-Yr-Old Daughter by Hitting Her to Ground

Deogarh: Under the influence of alcohol, a man allegedly killed his two-year-old daughter by hitting her to the ground at Lambadura village under Laimura police station in Odisha’s Deogarh district on Monday.

Police have taken the accused named Biju Kisan into custody for investigation.

According to sources, the marital tussle between Biju and his wife Shakuntala was the reason behind this inhuman murder of the innocent child. Biju was allegedly a drunkard and usually beat his wife in an inebriated condition.

Disgusted with the regular drunken brawls with her husband, Shakuntala along with her daughter was staying with her parents at Kulakuta village under Bonai police station for around a month. A few days back Biju had brought back his wife and daughter to his native village in the name of applying for an Aadhaar card for the kid and enrolling her to the local Anganwadi centre.

But the marital tussle continued as Biju did not give up liquor. It is alleged that to show up his anger against his wife, inebriated Biju banged his sleeping daughter on the ground on Monday morning. The child died on the spot.
