IPL: Sunrisers Hyderabad Beat Delhi Capitals by 7 Runs

New Delhi: Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Delhi Capitals by seven runs in last night’s match of the Indian Premier League at Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.

Sunrisers Hyderabad set a target of 198 runs before Delhi Capitals. Chasing the target, Delhi Capital made 188 runs losing six wickets in 20 overs.

Earlier, Sunrisers Hyderabad won the toss and opted to bat first.

The Capitals are now the bottom rankers in the points table after winning only two of their first seven games. Whereas, the Sunrisers are only one position ahead in the points standings and have won two of their last seven games.

The Capitals have won their last two games, and they’ll try to make it three straight. They defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by seven runs in their most recent victory.

While batting first, DC scored 144 runs in 20 overs while losing nine wickets. For DC, Axar Patel and Manish Pandey contributed significantly with the bat. Washington Sundar, who took three wickets for 28 runs in four overs, was the pivotal bowler for SRH.

Due to their sluggish strategy, SRH lost a few crucial wickets in the middle overs. Both Axar Patel and Anrich Nortje contributed two wickets to the team total. Axar’s all-around performance earned him the Player of the Match honor.
