Kerala’s 1st Transgender Body Builder Ends Life

New Delhi: Praveen Nath, who had hogged the limelight by becoming Kerala’s first transgender bodybuilder allegedly committed suicide in Thrissur on Thursday. This transgender bodybuilder aged 26, consumed poison at his home on Thursday afternoon to end his life, police sources said.

On February 14 this year, on Valentine’s Day, Praveen Nath married his transgender partner. But he was apparently stressed about some online media reports that claimed their relationship was strained. Nath had refuted those reports.

Praveen, originally from Nenmara in Palakkad district, had won the Mr Kerala title in the transgender category in 2021 and had also made it to the final round of the Mr India bodybuilding championship in 2022.
