Khalistani Vagrants target Indian Consulate in Brisbane after Defacing Temples in Australia

Khalistani vagrants targeted the Honorary Consulate of India in Australia’s Brisbane city and raised the Khalistan flag at the office. Australian media on Friday reported about this new addition to the continuing radical activities against the Indian community in the country.

The Honorary Consulate of India located on Swann Road in the Taringa suburb of Brisbane was targeted by Khalistan supporters on February 21 night. Honorary Consul of India in Brisbane Archana Singh found the Khalistan flag attached to the office on February 22, the report of Australia Today portal said. When notified, Queensland Police immediately confiscated the flag and swept the Honorary Consulate of India to clear of any immediate threat.

In recent past Khalistan goons defaced three Hindu temples in Australia. On January 23, the ISKCON temple in Melbourne’s Albert Park was vandalised by anti-India graffiti. On January 16, Shri Shiva Vishnu Temple in Carrum Downs, Victoria faced similar vandalism. On January 12, the Swaminarayan temple in Melbourne was defaced by Khalistani elements.

Indian External Affairs minister Jaishankar during his meeting with his Australian counterpart Penny Wong discussed the issue. India has asked the Australian government to curb the anti-India activities of the Khalistani separatists and also attacks on the Hindu temples in the country.
