Koraput-Visakhapatnam Train canceled as Boulder Falls on railway Track in Andhra

Visakhapatnam: Railway traffic was disrupted when a huge boulder fell on Kothavalasa-Kirandul (KK) line due to heavy rains in Alluri Sitarama Raju district of Andhra Pradesh.

AK Tripathi, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager of Visakhapatnam zone, in a statement, said because of this incident, two trains were been cancelled. These two canceled trains were the Visakhapatnam-Koraput passenger special train, scheduled to depart from Visakhapatnam on Tuesday and the Koraput to Visakhapatnam Passenger Special train departing from Koraput on Tuesday.

The boulder fell from the hill on the railway track at around 5.30 am. But no casualties were reported.
