Smoke In Dibrugarh-Kanyakumari Vivek Express Creates Panic At Berhampur Station

Berhampur: Panic gripped passengers of Dibrugarh-Kanyakumari Vivek Express near the Berhampur Railway Station today after some of them complained of smoke emanating from the bottom part of a coach.

Following this, the train stopped ahead of its halt at the station due to the pulling of chain by the passengers. Many passengers were seen deboarding the train in apprehension.

However, the emergence of smoke was not a result of any fire mishap, a Railway official said. Rather, a sack was stuck in a wheel of the train, which caused the smoke.
