Odisha’s Single Window Authority Approves 11 Industrial Projects Worth ₹3,266 Crore, Creating 9,000 Jobs

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government’s State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) has granted approval to 11 industrial projects valued at Rs 3,266 crore. These projects have the potential to create job opportunities for more than 9,000 individuals. The approved ventures will be established in various districts of the state, including Balasore, Bolangir, Kalhandi, Khurda, and Jajpur.

One of the notable projects is the chemical manufacturing unit by Himadri Speciality Chemical Limited, which plans to invest over Rs 980 crore. Nestle also aims to set up a food processing unit with an investment exceeding Rs 890 crore. Colortone Garments Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary of First Step Baby-Wear, intends to establish an integrated apparel manufacturing facility alongside a 1.2 MW rooftop captive solar power plant, with an investment exceeding Rs 200 crore.

Additionally, IDVB Recycling Operations Pvt Ltd. has gained approval to establish a new unit for recycled pet flakes and recycled per resin products, with an investment of Rs 318 crore. Purv Packaging Pvt. Ltd. is setting up a new manufacturing unit for plastic caps, pet preforms, and related products, investing Rs 152 crore. RDB Rasayans Ltd. is also establishing a new manufacturing unit with an investment of Rs 59 crore.

Beekay Utkal Steel Pvt. Ltd. and IFGL Refractories Ltd. have received approval for projects worth over Rs 260 crore. IFGL Refractories Limited is establishing its second unit in the state, while Beekay Utkal Steel plans to set up its third unit.

In the IT & ESDM sector, the committee has approved a proposal by Nisum Consulting Pvt. Ltd., which aims to invest Rs 200 crore.

These approved industrial projects signify significant investment and potential for job creation in Odisha, contributing to the state’s economic growth and development.
