Lady Blackmailer Case: Architect Ranjit Behera’s 2nd Appearance Before ED

Bhubaneswar: Architect Ranjit Behera, who had designed the house of Archana Nag, appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for the second time today. He had deposed before ED yesterday as well in connection to the case.

ED has taken Archana Nag on seven-days remand.

Earlier, Odia film producers Akshaya Parija and Pramod Swain, BJD MLA Sudhir Kumar Samal’s brother Gangadhar Samal, businessman Amiyakant Das, Archana’s associate Shradhanjali Behera, her business partner Khageswar Patra and her driver Chandan had appeared before the ED in connection with the case.

More than 20 leaders from the ruling BJD and opposition BJP, besides prominent businessmen, film producers, and real-estate tycoons were reportedly honey-trapped by Archana Nag, who had allegedly hired high-profile call girls to please wealthy customers.

The bail petition of Nag was rejected by the JMFC-3 Court in Bhubaneswar yesterday. Today the court rejected the bail plea of her husband Jagabandhu Chand.
