Lahore is Venue of Ind vs Pak Champions Trophy 2025 Match, India’s Visit in Doubts

New Delhi: The India vs Pakistan match of the 2025 Champions Trophy is scheduled to be held in Lahore, as per the tournament’s draft schedule sent to the International Cricket Council by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

The PCBN has suggested the 50-over tournament to be held between February 19 and March 09, 2025.

According to Cricbuzz, as per the schedule finalized and sent by the PCB to the ICC for approval, it is proposed that India will travel to Lahore in Pakistan for the match.

But, Team India’s visit to Pakistan is in doubt as it can travel to Pakistan to play the match only if it gets approval from the Indian government.

As per the proposed schedule, the opening game of the event will be held on February 19 in Karachi. The two semifinals will be in Karachi and Rawalpindi. If India qualify for the semi-final, that game will also be held in Lahore. The final of the 2025 Champions Trophy scheduled for March 9 will be in Lahore.

The PCB has kept Lahore as the only venue for India’s games. A total of seven matches will reportedly be scheduled in Lahore, five in Rawalpindi and three in Karachi.

The BCCI is yet to agree to the PCB’s proposed venues. The BCCI needs the Government of India’s permission to travel to Pakistan. It is doubtful whether the Indian government will allow the Indian team to travel to Pakistan as the relationship between the two countries remains tense.
